Boom! At school 2025

Two months of classroom reading with authors from all over the world and guided tours of exhibitions in the city

BOOM! At school it is the reading education project that for years has brought students and students together with the best authors and the best contemporary authors of novels, picture books, comics for children and adolescents

.

All the actors who work in the promotion of reading are involved: librarians and librarians, teachers, publishers and authors, with the aim of stimulating and strengthening the passion for reading in girls, boys and adolescents.

The program, built by the Libraries and Cultural Welfare Sector of the City of Bologna and Hamelin, is developed starting from conversation and shared reading in class.

The core of each meeting is reading: each class that participates is combined with a title chosen by a group of local librarians and librarians together with the Hamelin association, among the upcoming news sent by more than 30 Italian publishers; the class reads the chosen book and is preparing to meet the author or author.

The 2025 edition includes more than 90 meetings for as many classes in the Metropolitan City with more than 50 authors and authors, from kindergarten to high school, thanks to the networking between the Education, Education and New Generations Area, the Library and Cultural Welfare Sector of the Municipality of Bologna and Hamelin.
