BOOM! Growing Up in Books 2026

From April 8 to May 31, 2026, he returns to Bologna and to the metropolitan city BOOM! Growing up in books, the most important national festival dedicated to books, illustration and comics for children on the occasion of the Bologna Children's Book Fair (13 - 16 April 2026). For almost two months, the city will be invaded by 49 exhibitions, more than 150 appointments including workshops and meetings, guests, performances, screenings, shows, book presentations, activities for schools and guided tours to discover the rich 2026 program.

BOOM! Growing in books is promoted by the City of Bologna and BolognaFiere, edited by the Libraries and Cultural Welfare Sector of the City of Bologna together with Hamelin as part of the Bologna Reading Pact and enjoys the patronage of IBBY (International Board on Book for Young People) Italia, an international organization that supports the right to books and reading for girls and boys, girls and boys around the world.
