School calendar 2025-2026
First and second grade primary and secondary schools will start classes on Monday, September 15, 2025 and will conclude on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
As defined by Regional Council resolution no. 353/2012 Determination of the calendar for the 2012/2013 and following school years, in Emilia-Romagna the start of lessons for the 2025/2026 school year is set for Monday, September 15, 2025 and the end of lessons for Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Suspension of activities on holidays of national importance
- October 4, 2025, the feast of the Patron Saint of Bologna;
- November 1, 2025, All Saints' Day;
- December 25, 2025, Holy Christmas;
- December 26, 2025, Boxing Day;
- January 1, 2026, New Year's Day;
- January 6, 2026, Epiphany;
- April 6, 2026, Easter Monday;
- April 25, 2026, anniversary of the Liberation;
- May 1, 2026, Labor Day;
- June 2, 2026, National Republic Day.
Suspensions of educational and didactic activities as per the regional calendar
- commemoration of the dead: November 2, 2025;
- from 24 December 2025 to 6 January 2026, Christmas holidays;
- from April 2 to April 7, 2026, Easter holidays.
