Community Fund

A concrete space to give voice to the girls and boys of the city

The Radically Adolescent Community Fund is an initiative funded by the PN Metro plus 2021-2027 and promoted by the IU Rusconi Ghigi Foundation and the Education, Education and New Generations Area of the Municipality of Bologna, to support, with economic and project resources, the youth proposals to be carried out in the six districts of Bologna.

The Fund, created as a result of the requests that emerged in the listening and involvement path called Radically Adolescents, is aimed at groups of at least 3 girls and boys born between 2004 and 2010 and supported by an adult person.

The Fund provides an annual budget of 30,000 euros and each group can obtain up to 2,500 euros to implement initiatives concerning the five thematic areas identified as most relevant by the girls and boys who participated in the second edition of Poetic Politics:

• collaboration
• Future
• relationships
• Horizons

You can propose ideas of a different nature, such as podcasts, events, festivals, contests, competitions, debates, interventions on municipal facilities, buildings and equipment, organization of tournaments, interventions on a park, a square, a street, a school, awareness campaigns, flash-mobs, interventions on cycle and pedestrian routes, proposals for local public transport, meetings with experts and/or spaces for comparison, training courses on gender and sexuality, etc…
The objective of the Fund is: to create a concrete space for adolescents, giving voice to the girls and boys of the city, promoting inclusivity, collaboration and innovation; stimulating creativity; promoting a sense of belonging to the city community and the implementation of significant initiatives; offering a training opportunity through a structured accompanying path, which guides young people to transform their ideas into concrete projects. This process favors participation and the acquisition of autonomy and skills useful for growth, representing an opportunity for all communities in the area.
The ideas may have a specific indication of a place in the Municipality of Bologna, such as a park, a square, a street, a school, a public building and must be applied through a special online participation form, sent exclusively by an adult mentor: an individual natural person, or who represents a local reality (school, association, informal groups, etc...), available to support the youth group in the development and management of the initiative.
