Beyond the screens: freedom and rights

First edition of the General States of Childhood and Adolescence of Emilia-Romagna
The General States of Children and Adolescents, an initiative promoted by the Emilia-Romagna Region, ended on 6 June in Bologna. Since May 22, a rich calendar of events, meetings and round tables has animated the debate on a topic of increasing relevance and social importance: the relationship between young people and technology.
The first edition, entitled “Beyond Screens: Freedom and Rights”, summarized the main objective of this journey: balancing the freedom offered by digital tools with the need to reconnect to real life, beyond the screens.
The States-General have offered a platform to explore these issues in depth. Experts and experts have shared their scientific analyses and direct experiences, providing an articulated and evidence-based framework. The intent is to stimulate critical reflection, aimed at discerning what is truly educational from what may prove harmful
.
In the dedicated web section, full recordings of the interventions are available, which offer valuable insights for parents, educators, health workers and anyone interested or interested in better understanding the challenges and opportunities of the digital age.
The Emilia-Romagna Region, thanks to the ideas and proposals that emerged from this important discussion, is preparing to implement innovative initiatives.
The invitation is for an inclusive and collective collaboration to go "Beyond the Screens" together and build a more conscious and secure digital future for everyone.
