Parola app
A tool to support the language development of girls and boys between 24 and 36 months
Today, language difficulties between boys and girls are increasing, due to growing economic and educational poverty: between 9% and 21% of those aged 24 to 36 months are considered late talkers, that is, with a very small vocabulary and a reduced ability to combine words.
For this reason, from the collaboration between scholars and scholars from the Universities of Bologna, Padua and L'Aquila, Parola was born, a web app that wants to help parents support the linguistic development of their girls and boys.
The app, designed and developed by the Cooperativa Indici Opponibili, is aimed at boys and girls aged 24 to 36 months: inside there are interactive games, activities and podcasts to stimulate the development of communication and language.
To use the app, you can:
- contact your pediatrician;
- contact the staff of your kindergarten;
- download it directly and for free online.
