Do you know Schools Open All Year Round?

This is the project of the City of Bologna that aims to offer girls and boys aged 11 to 14 who attend first grade secondary school educational, cultural, sports and socialization opportunities during the school year in the afternoon, to support the growth and well-being of girls and boys.

What do Open Schools offer all year round?

The activities take place at the headquarters of the educational institution attended. The proposals are defined based on the needs identified by the school and may include:

• support for the study and the learning method;
• specialist support in case of specific learning disorders (DSA);
• Italian language courses such as L2 for children with language needs (Italbase and Italstudio);
• creative and cultural workshops;
• sports and motor activities, even outdoors;
• outings and activities to explore the city;
• youth participation programs.

In each school, up to 45 places are available in groups of up to 15 participants.

The activities will start, approximately, starting from the middle of the month of November 2025, up to a maximum of 2 afternoons per week.

The meal must be brought from home, except for those who already benefit from the supplementary meal service and meal assistance.

The school is asking for a contribution to expand the training offer.
