Free Summer Camps at the Golinelli Foundation

aimed at high school students

Registrations are open for free orientation summer camps for summer 2026, dedicated to secondary school students in Emilia-Romagna.

Promoted by G-Lab S.r.l. Social Enterprise in partnership with the University of Bologna, the program offers immersive experiences between computer science, biology, digital technologies, sustainability, storytelling and scientific communication .
The courses are created thanks to the European Funds of the Emilia-Romagna Region, with the aim of developing STEAM skills and accompanying the younger generations towards a conscious choice of their educational and professional future.

ER Digital Girls

• Creative computer science: computer science is a girl's game
  The course introduces participants to the fundamental concepts of programming through block visual languages and creative and interdisciplinary activities. The students will create video games, animations, interactive stories, image processing and small digital projects, while at the same time exploring current topics such as cryptography and artificial intelligence. The camp aims to enhance creativity as a tool to approach computer science in an accessible, inclusive and fun way.
  For whom: 25 girls enrolled in the third and fourth year of second grade secondary school in the Emilia-Romagna Region or attending educational institutions based outside the region but resident in the regional territory.

• Programming in Python with Artificial Intelligence: computer science is a girl's game Participants will learn to program in Python, one of the most used languages in the world, also experimenting with the conscious use of generative artificial intelligence tools applied to programming. Through prompting techniques and practical activities, girls will develop coding skills, critical analysis and problem solving, applying programming to video games, scientific simulations, digital art and multimedia content processing.
  For whom: 25 girls enrolled in the third and fourth year of second grade secondary school in the Emilia-Romagna Region or attending educational institutions based outside the region but resident in the regional territory.

STEM IN ACTION: SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION TO GUIDE THE FUTURE

• Let's make a podcast
  The summer camp is dedicated to the creation of a podcast series on the figure of Laura Bassi, a scientist and the first woman to obtain a university chair. Participants and participants will be involved in research, writing, storytelling, recording and audio editing activities, transforming historical and scientific content into a contemporary multimedia product. The path intertwines science, digital communication and enhancement of the role of women in the history of knowledge.

• From laboratory to storytelling
  The camp offers an interdisciplinary experience that combines scientific laboratory, experimental observation and science communication. The activities will guide participants and participants from practical experimentation to the construction of storytelling and dissemination contents, valuing creativity, critical spirit and capacity for synthesis.
