B.A.S.E.

Project to promote Wellbeing, Affectivity, Sociality and Emotions in kindergarten through recreational and didactic experiences also proposed by external experts belonging to the Department of Psychology.

The B.A.S.E. project is promoted by the City of Bologna and takes place in collaboration with the L.A.D.A. Laboratory | Learning Disorders Assessment Laboratory of the Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna.

It provides the support and supervision of experienced figures, both for the training of teachers and for the activities proposed within schools with the purpose of:

● promoting the socio-emotional development of girls and boys through the proposal of recreational and didactic activities aimed at strengthening emotional and prosocial skills;
● promoting greater awareness of the issues of socio-emotional development in the teacher group;

● working, in a preventive environment, on reduction of the risk of behavioral difficulties and self-regulation.

Since the academic year 2024/2025, it has been part of the educational design of participating municipal and state kindergartens in Bologna.

It involves 5-year-old boys and girls (in some schools even 4 years old), teachers, parents, pedagogical coordinators and experts from the University of Bologna and requires that individual schools, in relation to their educational and didactic programming, adhere annually to the project proposal.

The workshops are held at school between November and April and, throughout the year, there are moments of comparison and intermediate and final examination with the experts, for comparison with teachers and reference pedagogue.

In November, February and March, three online meetings are also organized for all parents of children and children aged 3-4-5.
