OMEP Bologna 2025

The 77th World Assembly and International Conference is in town

From 14 to 18 July 2025, Italy hosts for the first time the assembly and the world conference of OMEP | World Organization for Early Childhood Education (World Organization for Preschool Education).

OMEP | World Organization for Preschool Education is an NGO founded in 1948 active in almost 80 countries around the world that aims to defend the human rights of girls and boys from birth to eight years of age. OMEP promotes early childhood education and care as a right and tool for the attainment of other rights: integral development, citizenship, well-being and dignity for all girls and boys in the

world.

The theme of the event for 2025 is Arts and Culture in Early Childhood Education: Play, Expression, Participation and seeks to explore the fundamental role of arts and culture as educational tools, for creative expression and the promotion of participation through play.

In addition to the world conference, which will be held at the Savoia Hotel Regency in Bologna, and which will be attended by hundreds of delegates and delegates of the organization from all over the world, there will also be moments open to the participation of citizens.

In particular, Friday, July 18 from 4 pm in the Stabat Mater room of the Archiginnasio Municipal Library (Piazza Galvani 1) there will be a meeting entitled The Educating Community and the Culture of Childhood with  the Alliance of Educating Community Networks (ARCE) and the Center for Educational Services (SED) of the Ministry of Culture will participate.

Saturday, July 19  at 10:30am, at the Biagi Auditorium of the Salaborsa Library (Piazza del Nettuno 3) there will be the presentation of the OMEP World
Declaration to the city of Bologna.
