The City of Bologna, with its 0-6 Services, is an active player on the European scene. In line with the European Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC), the institution aims to integrate a real European approach into its services through international collaboration, especially thanks to the Erasmus+ program.
Internationalization is a strategic choice that aims to improve the quality of services, promote a lively exchange of knowledge and strengthen the culture of childhood in the area.
For staff, opening doors to Europe means:
- experimenting with innovative projects: every trip is an opportunity to experience new ideas and cutting-edge methodologies first hand;
- increasing the quality of 0-6 Services: new perspectives lead to better practices, for the benefit of girls, boys and their families;
- stimulate pedagogical renewal: we are always looking for ways to evolve and offer an ever richer and more stimulating education;
- strengthening the identity of 0-6 Services: a common vision is built, promoting democratic educating communities that look far away;
- develop an international curriculum: a strong European dimension is part of the educational path, preparing girls and boys to be citizens and citizens of the world.
Internationalization is seen as a key investment in staff Continuous Professional Development (CPD). It means fostering a constant exchange with international contexts, aligning with the priorities of the European Union and promoting a wider professional vision, based on innovative research and constant growth.
