Summer opportunities for boys and girls from 11 to 14 years old

The City of Bologna officially launches the “Open Schools all year round” project, an important opportunity for boys and girls (11-14 years old) to experience first grade secondary school in an engaging and innovative way, in summer, but also throughout the school year.

“Schools Open All Year Round” will offer, during the school year, afternoon activities to support study, even specific ones, as well as recreational moments through cultural activities, exploration of the territory, experimentation with experiences, encouraging feeling good together in a safe and stimulating environment.

During the summer of 2025, ample space will be dedicated to recreational activities, with rich offers of local outings, sports practices, musical and theater workshops, trips even out of town, cinema, theater, role-playing games, swimming pools and much more.

Some workshops are created thanks to the collaboration with the Bologna Civic Museums Sector, the Library and Cultural Welfare Sector of the City of Bologna and with the Sports Sector.

All 22 comprehensive institutions in the city have joined the summer activities of schools open all year round, guaranteeing a summer offer for their students for at least 2 weeks.

Overall, the opening weeks are from 9 June to 18 July and some institutions will also offer activities in September, from 1 to 12 September

Registration, Fees and Contributions

Registrations can be made directly at the school attended, from April 14 to May 9, 2025
