The days of the gluten-free menu
Also this year, the City of Bologna, at the invitation of the AUSL, joins the initiative "Everyone at the table, all together: the days of the gluten-free menu”.
The initiative is promoted by the A.I.C. (Italian Celiac Association) on the occasion of the National Celiac Disease Week ,scheduled from 9 to 17 May 2026.
The school lunch service will offer a special menu on Thursday, May 14, with the aim of raising awareness among the school community about the importance of accepting different dietary needs, whether medical, cultural or religious. The menu will naturally be gluten-free and adaptable to 85% of current specific diets.
Menu for Thursday, May 14
- Tomato rice (instead of pasta)
- Golden Halibut with corn breading
- Filangè carrots
- Fresh fruit for lunch
- Rice cakes (instead of bread)
- Fresh fruit for a snack
The changes have been designed to keep the nutritional balance unchanged and to respect the expected protein frequencies.
